FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Age Is It Suitable For?

Humans of all ages love our show! We recommend 12+ as a minimum age because some kids/parents are more sensitive to loud noises, theatrical violence and bad language than others. We have enough 5 year old and 85 year old fans to make an army (albeit not a very intimidating one), so it really is for everyone.

Trigger Warnings and Whatnot

We use loud music and flashing lights, as you might expect as a rock gig. We fight a lot, swear a little, and occasionally bleed a bit (by accident), but it’s all in good fun. There are direct references to death, indirect references to sex: the whole thing is one hell of a party, to be honest.

Is It Loud?

If you’re worried about the volume, choose a seat towards the back and be comforted by the fact that most the music in the show only lasts about a minute. If you’re REALLY worried about the volume, this probably isn’t the show for you.

Does It Hurt?

Yes, obviously it hurts - but so does rugby, circus and any other form of athletic performance. To quote London Theatre 1:

“I deplore violence and cringe even at fictional depictions of it; I take an active role as a censor against it in my children’s entertainment consumption. However, pro-wrestler Ed Gamester’s production was, for me, a masterclass in stage combat. Perhaps because it’s built on the solid source material of Norse mythology (which, let’s face it involves all manner of conflict and visceral drama) the action comes across intensely but also playfully. I jumped in my seat more than once in surprise and wonder, but never felt like I was a complicit spectator to mindless brutality. My son, on the other hand, counted the ‘suplex’ moves and exclaimed, ‘that’s gotta hurt’ in the conventions of pro-wrestling – ultimately moved to chant, ‘Loki! Loki! Loki!’”
